The experience of staying in a fully-equipped castle room is indeed unique; while the beds may squeak a little – after all, it’s ancient – the comforts of modern amenities like a well-appointed bathroom truly enhance the stay. For families, the children's play area adds a cheerful touch, ensuring younger guests have their share of fun. I appreciated the free parking as it made exploring the area more of a breeze. Breakfast is decent – offering a modest selection – though I personally wished for a bit more variety. Dining options at the restaurant present both traditional and contemporary choices, allowing for a bit of culinary adventure. While it’s not the most budget-friendly spot, the overall ambience and experience hold their own worth, especially if you’re seeking something distinctive. Wrap it all up with access to beautiful nearby river springs, and you have a memorable stay that skilfully blends historical charm with the comfort of modern hospitality.
